We are officially in the “digital age”. This type of technology has changed everything and the internet has been instrumental in not only the sharing of ideas when it comes to software-related developments, but also breakthroughs in hardware.
Companies these days, with their ongoing need to advertise, cannot afford to resort to outdated technology and with the proverbial digital signage player there to support these efforts among other digital products offered, the method of displaying your products or services using digital signage screens and players has become a popular practice.
The touchscreen monitor is another digital product that comes in handy for a number of applications, such as public information displays as well as touch and control panel applications.
If you are planning to purchase touch screen monitor technology for your company, here are a couple of things to keep in mind when doing so:
#1: Screen Size
Ranging from 3 to 52 inches in size, you can find a wide range of touch screen monitors, and in knowing what you are going to be using this technology for, you will have to decide what size and aspect ratio will work best.
#2: The Environment
Since these monitors are used in a variety of environments, there are several safeguards in place that will serve to protect them, such as powder-coated, ABS, stainless steel, and waterproof enclosures. Knowing the potential hazards that might ruin the touchscreen monitor that you choose can help you take advantage of these safeguards.
#3: Mounting
There are three types of mounting that can be found; panel, rack mounts, and free-standing. For the last type, it is important that you find a stand that is designed specifically for touchscreen monitors since the basic table top bases will tip over and damage this expensive equipment.
